April has always had her hands in something; whether it be visual, storytelling, or music. As long as she can remember, art has been a part of her life.
April began painting soon after her mom died in 2019. She’ll tell you that painting was a gift as she began navigating how to carry grief. Painting was her therapy. Up until this point she had never given herself permission to explore this side of her, and it’s been a true example of beauty from ashes.
April mostly works in acrylic and watercolor on paper, canvas, or wood panel. Originally from Atlanta, GA with a quick detour to New York, April currently lives in Chattanooga, Tennessee
with her family and menagerie of pets.
