Frederick Carl Frieseke was an American Impressionist painter associated with the Giverny colony near Monet. Known for his luminous depictions of women in sunlit interiors and gardens, Frieseke combined French colorism with an American sensibility, using shimmering light and patterned compositions to convey serenity, beauty, and intimacy.
